Post Doctoral Fellow – A&S Chemistry, University of Cincinnati, USA
The position is for a postdoctoral fellow to develop diagnostics for influenza virus. Specifically, the postdoctoral fellow will assist the PI in the design, synthesis and development of complex carbohydrates. The post doc will optimize the ligand frameworks to discriminate between variants. The individual will also be involved in the biophysical characterization of the compounds, and studies to compare different diagnostic platforms. They will also mentor graduate and undergraduate students in the laboratories. The applicant will have excellent oral and written presentation skills.
Minimum Qualifications: Minimum requirements for the job are a PhD in Chemistry or closely related field.
