Students Scholarships Description: The Epilepsy Foundation awards grants and fellowships for cutting-edge research into the causes of epilepsy. Program goals include understanding basic mechanisms, developing new therapeutic approaches, understanding the behavioral and psychosocial aspects of having epilepsy, and encouraging the professional development of scientists and healthcare professionals. The purpose of the Research Grants Program is to stimulate epilepsy research by providing funding for investigators in the early stages of their careers The Research Grants program offers one year of training support. The award carries a stipend of up to $50,000 per year. Funding for the award is provided by the Epilepsy Foundation and various sponsors. The number of awards granted each year is contingent on funds available.

1/ Scholarships will be granted to students who currently are enrolled in S-1 degree programs only, and have completed their first semester and up to their firth semester of undergraduate study at an Indonesian university.
2/ Applicants should demonstrate leadership potential through academic work, community involvement, and extracurricular activities.
3/ Applicants must have minimum ITP/IBT TOEFL score of 500-score or IELTS 5.0 less than two years old. In some cases a personal interview by a fluent qualified Native English Speaker who can confirm that the nominee would be able to achieve that score when tested is acceptable. Candidates must also meet all the requirements of the institution where admission is being sought.
4/ Preference will be given to those who have had little or NO experience in the U.S. or outside of their home countries.
5/ Applications can be for either for one semester or two semesters based on nominee’s availability. No applications should be submitted for both one semester and full year programs.

Scholarships Description: Teaching at CATUC, CCU and the University of Buea is in English, while teaching at the Adventist University is in French. In the other universities, professors may teach in English or French, but they need to have a working knowledge of French. Candidates will teach advanced undergraduate and graduate courses in any discipline offered at a participating host institution and may provide tutorials and student advising services. They may also supervise graduate student research and mentor faculty. Kenya TBA Postgraduate Scholarships for African Students 2011
The Kenya TBA (Tropical Biology Association) Postgraduate Scholarships are annually offered by the Tropical Biology Association to its African alumni which are funded through a consortium of TBA funders.
The scholarships are to help African alumni undertake postgraduate studies after they have attended TBA courses. They are part of the TBA alumni follow up support programme designed to promote human resource development and strengthen professional expertise among African biologists in biodiversity conservation and research.
The TBA Postgraduate scholarship programme is designed so that fellows may study in any country or institution that best meets their academic needs. However, applications to study at an African institution providing suitable study programmes will be given priority.
Eligibility:
- Applicants must be nationals from Africa who have attended a TBA course.
- Priority will be given to those who attended courses since 2001.
- Applicants must pursue a postgraduate degree that will directly enhance their research and conservation skills that is relevant to their own country.

International Scholarships Description: AGBU offers financial assistance on an annual basis to full-time undergraduate students of Armenian descent enrolled in colleges and universities in their countries of residence. If a desired area of study is not available in the student’s country of residence, the support of study elsewhere may be considered. Some selected fields of graduate study may also be considered. Applicants must be enrolled in degree programs in highly competitive colleges and universities in their country of residence with a GPA of 3.0 and above, as measured by the American grading system scale.
Applicants who are citizens of Armenia qualify for grants for study outside of Armenia only if a major portion of the tuition and other expenses – 75 percent or more – has already been secured through foundations, governmental and state grants, and/or the academic institution they are attending. Transitional language coursework is not eligible for financial assistance.
Applicants will be reviewed based on the following criteria:

2. Financial Need
3. Public and Community Service, with particular attention to their involvement in the
Armenian community
Applicants are eligible to apply for renewal for up to five (5) years, with scholarships awarded annually toward

Thirty Thousand ($30,000) dollars in scholarships will be awarded for the 2011-2012 academic year to law students studying energy, environmental, natural resource, and mineral law at schools holding membership in the Energy & Mineral Law Foundation.
The Energy & Mineral Law Foundation was established in 1980 to provide a forum for the intellectually honest examination of the legal issues related to the development and use of natural resources. The Energy & Mineral Law Foundation is a non-pro?t 501(c)(3) educational organization, funded primarily through membership dues and revenues from educational programs.
Scholarships are funded through membership dues, and earnings from special memorial scholarships The Samuel J. Goldstein, Esquire, Scholarship Fund of The Pittsburgh Foundation was created to benefit students who are planning to attend or already attend law school in Pennsylvania. The following criteria will apply:
1. Be from Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Washington or Westmoreland counties and plan to attend or already attend an accredited law school in Pennsylvania.
2. Demonstrate financial need.
3. Show academic promise.
4. Be of the Jewish faith.
5. Maintain good grades but need not be in the top 10% of their class academically.
6. Submit an essay discussing why you are deserving of this scholarship.
7. Complete a standard admissions application and a financial aid application for the law school the applicant plans to attend or is attending. The students selected to receive this scholarship for the first year at a Pennsylvania law school are eligible to receive this scholarship for a second year if they continue to be enrolled in a Pennsylvania law school and maintain a 2.5 or equivalent grade point average.
If any student selected for this scholarship ceases to attend a Pennsylvania law school or fails to maintain a 2.5 or equivalent grade point average, another scholarship recipient shall be selected for the award. Final selection of the scholarship winners will be decided (subject to the approval of the Board of Directors of The Pittsburgh Foundation) by a Scholarship

Scholarships 2011 Description: Virginia Tech, with the support of BAE Systems, is offering a $2500 scholarship to a female student who has participated in either the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) or the FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) while in high school. The applicant must be a US citizen currently enrolled as a junior in high school. The application is due April 1 and must include a recommendation from their FIRST Adult Mentor or Coach.
Winner of the FIRST-VT Scholarship will be notified in September. In order to receive the scholarship, the student must be enrolled full time in the College of Engineering at Virginia Tech. The scholarship will be distributed in equal amounts fall and spring semesters. This is a renewable scholarship for up to 4 years of engineering studies. In order to renew this scholarship, the student must earn a 3.0 overall GPA, to be evaluated following the spring semester. The student must also be maintaining progress towards a bachelor of science degree from the College of Engineering.
